6. Service Providers and Disclosures
Ryan discloses personal information to its service providers that support website hosting, security, content delivery, newsletter administration, email distribution, analytics, consent management, advertising measurement, information technology, legal services, and professional advisory services. Cloudflare hosts the website through Cloudflare Pages and supports content delivery and security. Other service providers may include Brevo, TrustArc, Google, LinkedIn, and StackAdapt, depending on whether the relevant advertising tags are enabled.
Authorized personnel of Ryan and Ryan’s U.S.-based affiliates may access subscriber information in the Brevo account to administer and support the newsletter program. Ryan may provide authorized service providers with role-based technical access to the website and related service-provider accounts where necessary to develop, deploy, implement, maintain, secure, or quality-assure the website. These parties must handle personal information in accordance with applicable contractual and legal requirements.
Ryan may also disclose personal information where required or permitted by law, to protect rights, property, systems, users, or the public, or in connection with an actual or proposed corporate transaction.
7. Location of Personal Information
Ryan does not represent that all personal information associated with the website will remain in Canada. Authorized Ryan personnel located in the United States may access subscriber information in the Brevo account to administer and support the newsletter program. This access may constitute processing outside Canada.
Cloudflare may process limited technical information, including website logs and online identifiers, outside Canada through its global hosting, content-delivery, and security operations. Google, LinkedIn, StackAdapt, and their related services may also process information outside Canada depending on configuration and whether the relevant tags are enabled. Information accessed or processed outside Canada may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is accessed or processed.
8. Retention
Ryan retains newsletter subscription information while you remain subscribed and for up to two years after you unsubscribe or become inactive, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law, necessary to resolve a dispute, or needed to maintain a minimal suppression record and demonstrate compliance with applicable requirements. We may retain limited opt-out information for longer where reasonably necessary to honor your request not to receive further communications.
9. Safeguards
Ryan uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and the nature of the processing. These safeguards may include access controls, authentication measures, confidentiality commitments, monitoring, encryption where appropriate, and security procedures. No website or internet transmission is completely secure.
